RULES AND REGULATIONS

GENERAL RULES:

• Judges decision will be final.
• No swearing or foul language at the venue.
• No drinking or illegal drugs before or at the venue.
• No propagation of personal beliefs, religion or politics.
• No sensitive content allowed.
• No smoking at the venue.
• If equipment is damaged, financial restitution must be made as per demand of the Client.

SOLO SINGING:

• Time allotted for the performance is 5 minutes, including sound check
• If participants are singing along to a sound track, they should bring their track in a pen drive and give it to the sound in-charge an hour ahead of the Event. (backing tracks should not contain any additional vocals)
• You may have ONE accompanist for your event, either guitar or keyboard. (Kindly note: the participant will be judged only on the basis of their singing irrespective of the accompaniment they use)
• The participants should bring their own musical instruments if required in the performance

BEAT BOXING:

• The tournament is open to beatboxers only. No instruments are permitted; only sounds made using the human anatomy.
• Microphones, monitors and water will be provided.
• Competitors should not perform beatbox routines as already performed in public by other beatboxers, to the best of their knowledge. This is a courtesy. Be original!
• Competitors should be alert and near the stage at the beginning of the proceedings. Failure to arrive on stage when called up will result in disqualification.
• Competitors who are rude, abusive or deemed otherwise unsuitable by the organizers will be disqualified from the competition.
• The organizers will not be held liable for any damage, loss or disappointment suffered by any person taking part or not being able to take part in the tournament.

ACAPELLA:

• Time allotted for the performance is 8 minutes, including sound check
• The group must consist of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 10 members
• No tracks allowed
• No instruments allowed

ACOUSTIC:

• Time allotted for the performance is 8 minutes, including sound check
• The band must consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 7 members
• Electrical instruments are not allowed
• Equipment to be brought by the participant
• No drums allowed

ROCK, METAL AND LIGHT MUSIC:

• Time allotted for the performance is 15 minutes including sound check
• Instruments must be brought by the participants
• Standard 5 piece drum kit will be provided
• The band must consist of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 7 members
• No language restrictions for Rock and Metal
• No originals allowed in Light Music

DJ BATTLE:

COMMON RULES

• REGISTRATION FEE 1000/-
• PERFORMANCE TIMING: 8 minutes (including setup)
• Contestants are allowed to use their own equipment (laptop, pen drive, hard-disks)
• Only one entry per contestant is allowed.

PERFORMANCE RULES

• Pre-produced mashups and mix-tapes are not allowed.
• We will provide Pioneer CDJ 2000 player (2) and Pioneer DJM NXS2 900 mixer (1)
• If the stoppage is due to equipment failure and due to no fault of the contestant, the contestant will be allowed to perform the set in its entirety from the beginning.
• If the stoppage is due to equipment failure that is due to the fault of the contestant, the contestant will be allowed to readjust the equipment and restart the set, from where the equipment broke down. The Contestant may start the set from the beginning, but the time will resume from where the contestant stopped, and no extra time will be permitted in this regard.
